Suzanne Marting

Suzanne Martin - Executive Director

Suzanne Martin earned her Bachelors in Social Work from Florida State University in 1975.  She has worked in the field of social work for 35 years and has been the Executive Director of A Bond of Love since its inception in 1992.  Suzanne is a Certified Open Adoption Practitioner.  As the Executive Director, Suzanne is responsible for all aspects of A Bond of Love’s adoption services.  She brings a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to the position.

Suzanne’s comprehensive experience in the field of adoption includes coordination of all aspects of adoption services.  Suzanne works with birth families as well as adoptive families throughout the entire adoption process.
Suzanne’s extensive experience in the scope of adoption, combined with her warm and deeply caring nature, makes her an excellent leader and family advocate.

 

Angela Carey

Angela Carey - Adoption Counselor

Angela Carey earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from
Culver-Stockton College in 1991.  She is a Certified Temperament Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association and a Certified Open Adoption Practitioner.  Angie’s 16 years as an Adoption Counselor at A Bond of Love has given her extensive experience in all aspects of adoption services.  Angie has gained invaluable insight into placing children with their forever family. 

During her career, Angie has counseled many birth parents to help them look at all of their options in permanency planning for their children.  In addition, she has assisted numerous families to realize their dream of becoming parents through adoption.  She is committed to providing critical services to families, with a focus on the health of the whole family unit.

 

Stacy Clippard

Stacy Clippard - Adoption Counselor

Stacy completed her Bachelors Degree in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2003.  She has been with A Bond of Love for the past six years.  Stacy enjoys facilitating all aspects of the adoption process.  Stacy’s primary focus is working with prospective adoptive parents, preparing them for their adoption through the home study process.  Stacy also assists families after their adoption by conducting post placement visits and completing reports required after a placement.

Stacy and her husband are licensed to provide interim foster care for children

who are awaiting adoption.  Stacy enjoys working with families of all types through the adoption process and in preparation for becoming parents.  Stacy is very passionate about adoption and feels honored to share in the adoption journey with families.

 

Karen Buren - Bookkeeper

Karen works as our bookkeeper.  Karen worked for over fifteen years as a legal assistant.  For three of those years, Karen worked for Susan Stockham, the founder of A Bond of Love.  Karen came to work for A Bond of Love in 2001.  Over the years, Karen has lovingly served and assisted our adoptive families and birthparents.  She is very good at juggling the various administrative responsibilities at the agency.  Karen’s broad experience in the legal and administrative side of adoption, combined with her compassionate spirit, makes her an invaluable asset to A Bond of Love.
